- 1 x Auditory Needs Assistant
Starting salary: Grade 15, Point 3 – £12.85 per hour
Local Government Pension Scheme
8.50 am to 3.20 pm, Term-time only
Fixed term contract until 31 August 2027 in the first instance
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant, with experience of or a desire to work with children with profound hearing loss, speech and language needs and auditory impairments.
The ideal candidate will:
- A passion for supporting the education and well-being of our wonderful children.
- Have a flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team.
- Be willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom practice through assisting in planning and recording daily tasks with learners.
- Have the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative.
- Be motivated, passionate and reflective about their work.
- Experience of working on a 1:1 basis within a school environment is preferred but not essential.
- Applicants for the Auditory role will have experience of working with (or a strong desire to work with) children or young people who have additional needs linked to speech and language and/or hearing impairments such as cochlear implants.
DBS check
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and other pre-employment checks.
