What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of young people in Somerset — and you’ll be a key part of that. As a senior member of Somerset music, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the administration team within Somerset music dealing daily with all its customers. You will be the first point of contact for schools and parents and will assist in the timetabling of a team of teachers deployed around the county. You will line manage an admin support officer and will have responsibility for inputting tutor pay.
Your day-to-day work will involve.
- Maintaining the school and staff timetable.
- Communicating with schools and colleges across the county.
- Updating tutor pay
- Actioning services bought through the SSE website.
- Liaise with senior leadership and attend the senior leadership meetings.
- Contribute to service innovation and development
- Ensure that school and parental billing is accurate.
- Collects data for the Arts council data return.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Can communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues at all levels.
- Can prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Are well organised, accurate and resourceful.
- Have previous experience of working in an administrative role, working in a team and supervisory experience.
- Have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 standard/ 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, with good standards of literacy, numeracy and accuracy.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office programmes, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
