Key information
- Working hours are 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 4.30pm Friday. This is based at the crematorium office in reception.
- 25 days’ annual leave (pro rata for part time hours).
- Various in house and certified training is available to carry out the role.
- Permanent position.
What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Main point of contact for the bereaved and funeral staff.
- Responsible for ensuring all legal and medical paperwork is received in advance of all funerals.
- Conducting graveside interments and attend chapel services.
- Giving guidance and legal advice on memorials and grave ownership.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
