King Ina Academy Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Forest School Lead to join our positive and supportive team. The successful candidate will be passionate about outdoor learning and possess the motivation and teamwork skills necessary to inspire our students across Reception, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, as well as leading sessions for our pupils with additional needs
What will I be doing?
The successful candidate will:
seek to develop emotional resilience, personal and social pupil skills including but not limited to, raising self-esteem, assessing & managing risk, and developing teamwork and leadership skills. This will be achieved through a varied programme such as: · Team building activities · Forest school based activities · Any other activities personalised to the pupil interests and developmental needs.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a Level 3 Forest School qualification
- Is creative and fun.
- Has the ability to build positive relationships and inspire pupils.
- Has excellent communication, both written and verbally.
- Has a good understanding of the current statutory and regulatory guidelines related to outdoor learning.
- Can be encouraging and adaptable, so all of our pupils participate with forest school activities.
- Plans a range of age appropriate outdoor activities including games and crafts.
- Can ensure Health & Safety requirements are met.
- Has a positive approach to behaviour support, viewing all behaviours as communication.
