Position: Temporary full-time Nursery Practitioner to cover Maternity leave
Starting Salary: Grade 15 (£24,796) Fulltime
Start date: February 2026
Hours: 37 hours per week
We require a member of staff to work within our enthusiastic nursery team at Paddocks Nursery and Pre-School which is part of Wiveliscombe Primary School. The Paddocks Nursery provides childcare for ages 0-5 years and is an all year round provision.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The successful candidate will be:
- Flexible between Monday to Friday and the hours of 8am-6pm.
- Have knowledge of being a key person and building your children’s learning and development through their next steps and interests to further their learning.
- An excellent member of our team, following instructions and carrying out duties to the highest level possible.
- Able to communicate effectively with children and their families both verbally and in writing in order to understand the children’s individual characteristics, needs and interests, including family background, cultural beliefs and any special educational needs.
Qualifications: Minimum level 2 in Early years, Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable. Also desirable to have an up to date Paediatric First Aid Training.
