Fixed term post to support a child with special needs
This role is for 5 days a week (term time) in the first instance. To start immediately.
Grade 14: £15,444 to £16,830 pa pro rata
We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to contribute to raising standards of pupils’ achievement; to join our hard-working, dedicated team. The role is to give 1:1 support to a child and will include high levels of need and specifically children with social, emotion and mental health needs.
The successful candidate will:
- Teaching and/or Learning support work
- 1:1 support experience
- Keen interest in SEMH.
- Preferably have a Level 2, 3 or working towards level 3 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and/or have previous experience of working with children.
- Have an enthusiastic and positive outlook to team working and developing successful outcomes for all children.
- An understanding about regulation and support strategies
- Support assessment for learning and assist others to help children achieve their full potential.
- Promote children’s positive behaviour, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Have good behaviour management skills and maintain a high level of professionalism, resilience and be self-motivated.
- Have a good level of English, Maths and Computing Skills.
- Engage in continuous professional development.
