We are an 11-16 Academy in Somerset, serving the town of Yeovil and the surrounding villages. Westfield is an oversubscribed and successful school with a good reputation. Due to maternity leave, a temporary post has arisen in the first instance from 23rd February 2026 until 31st August 2026 with a potential extended period from September 2026 onwards

What will I be doing?

PE staff at Westfield Academy have a wider role in school life, being an integral part of our House system, leading activities and developing the House ethos.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

This is a mainscale post, in order to facilitate the time involved in the House system there is increased non-contact time and no requirement to be a tutor. Additional support provided for ECTs.
