  • Part Time: 20 hours per week: Monday to Friday 0830-1230, term time (39 working weeks per year)

What will I be doing?

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs within our EYFS unit. We require someone who is kind and caring and able to support a young person socially, emotionally and academically. We are seeking someone who is confident to run individual interventions providing additional support and adapt activities to support inclusion.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The successful candidate will be flexible, supportive and willing to develop professionally. You will need to be organised, good with time pressures and able to work within a team. The right person for this unique role will have Early Years experience and be comfortable with speech & language needs and intimate care. You will need to be skilled at building relationships and working in a reactive and often outdoor manner.

The successful candidate must be successful at creating and maintaining a positive atmosphere, developing and sustaining good working relationships and working wider than our setting, with our families, the community and the Trust. The young person you will be working with needs support to stay safe, access schooling, learn social skills, and feel part of a classroom environment.
