What will I be doing?
We’re working to improve the lives of people here in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Responding to Data Rights Requests, Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Requests within statutory timeframes.
- Liaising with a wide range of council staff to obtain information and process it for release.
- Advise on legislative requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:
- Have experience in working with the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations.
- Have experience working with stakeholders of all levels.
- Have good communications and negotiation skills.
