What will I be doing?

Burlescombe Church of England Primary School, set in the heart of the Devon countryside, is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive school community where every child is valued and encouraged to flourish. We are seeking a friendly, organised, and reliable Administrative Assistant to join our office team for afternoon hours.

This is a varied and important role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff during the afternoons and will play a key role in supporting effective communication and administration across the school. Responsibilities will include welcoming visitors, answering telephone calls, dealing with enquiries, supporting attendance and pupil administration, processing emails and general correspondence, assisting with filing, data entry, and record keeping, and offering general support to staff, pupils, and families as required.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and approachable, with strong organisational and communication skills. They will be confident using IT systems, able to work independently as well as part of a team and have previous administrative experience.
