About the job
Key information
Make a lasting difference for children and families across the South West.
What will I be doing?
We’re looking for a Family Practitioner to join our Family Finding, Recruitment and Assessment team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in finding the right families for children and supporting them through the early stages of joining their new homes. Your work will make a lasting difference, helping children to feel safe, secure and loved.
You’ll build strong, trusting relationships with children, adopters and birth families, using attachment-based approaches to guide and support them. You’ll contribute to assessments, help shape plans that meet individual needs, and provide practical and therapeutic support.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
This is a role that calls for confidence, creativity and compassion.
We’re looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, resilient and organised, with experience of working directly with children and families. Knowledge of child development and the impact of trauma is essential, and experience of therapeutic parenting approaches would be an advantage.
What is in it for me?
In return, you’ll receive monthly supervision, ongoing training and excellent peer support. The role involves travel across the South West region, and the office base can be negotiated.
