Role Summary

As our ASC Operations Finance Lead, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Adult Social Care financial operations, overseeing the Financial Assessment and Benefits (FAB) Team and the Transactional Team. Working closely with senior leaders, you will ensure services are efficient, compliant, customer-focused, and deliver positive outcomes for residents and the Council.

  • Lead and develop the Financial Assessment and Benefits (FAB) Team and Transactional Team, creating a high-performing and inclusive culture.
  • Drive service improvement, transformation, and the implementation of modern systems and processes.
  • Provide expert financial and operational advice to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Ensure services comply with legislation, governance requirements, and financial controls.
  • Manage performance, budgets, income generation, and service delivery to support organisational priorities.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • Significant senior leadership experience managing multiple teams and services within a complex operational environment.
  • Experience leading large teams, managing change, and driving service improvements.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, performance management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care finance, client charging, welfare benefits, income collection, or related services.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, decision-making, and people leadership skills.

33 days’ annual leave, plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time employees).
