Key information
Street Parish Council are seeking a temporary Clerk to cover aspects of an Assistant Clerk / Community Engagement Officer role. Experience working within a town or parish Council is preferred.
This is a part-time post for 2-3 days per week, for a period of up to 3 months.
Immediate start preferred.
An element of remote working will be considered.
Salary commensurate with experience (in line with the National Joint Council for Local Government Services spinal column points for an Assistant Clerk).
Please note this is a temporary cover role, and a permanent Assistant Clerk role will also be advertised. Applicants are also welcome to apply for the permanent role.
What will I be doing?
Duties will include:
- Clerking the Planning Advisory Committee (held at 6.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month).
- Community Engagement activities including Social Media posts and updates to Parish Council website.
- Clerking / Administration duties as required.
Duties may include:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of 1-2 Community Events.
- Supporting the Community Engagement Committee.
- Ad hoc Projects as required.
