What will I be doing?
We are seeking an Assistant Head Teacher who is committed to securing the highest standards of teaching, learning and leadership within our school. This role will see you play a significant part in the inclusion provision for children, co-ordinating the SEND provision and including being DSL working alongside our safeguarding team

- Are an experienced teacher
- Are passionate about teaching and the education of children – especially children with SEND and hold the SENCO qualification
- Lead by example and will embody our school values

- Are enthusiastic, flexible and a real team player.
- Are ready to be a key member of the leadership team at Herne View including working closely with the Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher (Curriculum)
What is in it for me?
As a school, we were rated as Good by Ofsted in November 2022 with a positive review of our inclusion provision and as a school, we prioritise the need to be inclusive so all pupils can access our education offer.
Our inclusion team is made up of a full time ELSA, Nurture/Family Liaison Worker and Forest School nurture provision. Apple Orchard, our pre-school has a dedicated SENCO and the role would involve working together with them but not directly leading SEND in the pre-school. Our wider resources are beyond that which is normally available in a Primary School and we are committed to helping our children work actively with our local community in a range of events throughout the year.

All of our staff must undertake a DBS clearance prior to employment.
