The Castle School is looking to appoint a dedicated and committed Assistant Headteacher Inclusion to work with an experienced and committed Leadership Team, to lead on supporting vulnerable students as well as our well-established SEND faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role, influence whole school strategy and drive inclusive education across the school, raising standards of student attainment and achievement for our SEND and other vulnerable students. This role will also be the named SENDCO.
You will lead all our inclusion work to ensure appropriate provision is in place for all students with SEND and other vulnerabilities. A key task of this role is to ensure that our inclusive provision is both efficiently and effectively managed, with all legal and statutory requirements met for students with SEND.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
This is an exciting and varied role, working with staff and students daily, so excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, approachable and reliable with resilience and commitment to their workload and responsibilities.
