A role where no two days are the same. As an Assistant Technical and Training officer, you will work with the team responsible for internal staff training working closely with the Technical and Training managers to agree and implement training plans for the member services teams.
The member services teams ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of all pension information and administration to members and potential members of schemes administered by Peninsula Pensions.
The Technical and training team are responsible for documenting all member services procedures and ensuring that they remain compliant and reflect any changes in the scheme regulations or overriding legislation. The team also respond to technical queries and advise staff with changes to the rules and regulations.
As an Assistant Technical and Training officer you will carry out inductions for new staff and provide ongoing support to the member services teams. You will also be required to check their work for accuracy, develop staff and for this you will need excellent inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to explain complex pension issues simply.
You will keep up to date administration procedures and undertake quality assurance audits. You will also provide administration support on ad hoc projects undertaken within the team.
