What will I be doing?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and inspiring Business and/or Humanities Teacher to join our successful secondary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher who is passionate about developing students’ understanding of the world around them, preparing them for future study and employment, and fostering curiosity, critical thinking and independent learning.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that enable students to achieve their full potential. Whether your specialism is Business, Geography, History, Religious Studies, or a combination of these subjects, you will be committed to raising standards, promoting inclusion, and creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Business and/or Humanities subjects.
- Inspire students to develop critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and student engagement.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities within the department.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external partners to support student success.
- Participate fully in departmental, school and Trust-wide professional development activities.
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Business and/or a Humanities discipline.
- A passion for inspiring young people and improving educational outcomes.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners.
- The ability to contribute positively to the wider life of the school and Trust.
