What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives and health of children and families in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Line management and co-ordination of Clinical Business Operations Assistants.
  • Providing a professional Business support service complying with specialist and statutory frameworks.
  • Preparing and processing orders for goods/services. Receiving and checking invoices and monitoring accounts.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you have:

  • The appropriate education/qualification standard is at minimum NVQ Level 3 plus 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C of above with good standards of literacy, numeracy and accuracy.
  • Knowledge and skills in business support and office management acquired through broad training and significant work experience.
  • Demonstratable experience in the co-ordination of the delivery of business administrative and clerical service. This involves front line team supervision, performance appraisal and staff development.
