  • 10 hours per week, at least one hour a day – 7-8am to unlock the buildings and check the grounds, the remaining hours are flexible
  • Working weeks: Term time plus 3 weeks (41 working weeks per year)

What will I be doing?

Are you a pro-active and reliable individual who would like to support the lives and education of young children?

We are seeking to appoint a friendly and highly motivated Caretaker to join our caring and dedicated team to oversee the day-to-day running and management of the buildings and grounds, ensuring a clean, safe and secure environment at Ashlands Church of England  Primary School.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

Under the direction of the Headteacher and Office Manager, as Caretaker you will ensure buildings are in proper working order, including carrying out minor repairs to defects within own competence and carrying out regular checks in accordance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation.

There may be some flexibility on the working pattern for the right candidate if the stated hours do not fit your circumstances.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have knowledge of basic health and safety
  • Possess good practical/DIY skills •
  • Have a positive, pro-active “can-do” attitude
