What will I be doing?
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our school team, supporting the preparation and service of meals for pupils and staff. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where you can make a real difference to the daily experience of students.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to prepare and serve food in line with agreed standards. You will assist with preparing ingredients, serving meals, and ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene are maintained at all times. You will also help to keep the kitchen organised, support stock control, and ensure equipment is used safely and appropriately.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking for someone who is dependable, well organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team. A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a busy kitchen environment are essential, along with an understanding of the importance of hygiene, safety, and quality standards. Previous experience in a catering or kitchen setting would be beneficial, but it is not essential as training can be provided.
Working within a school setting, you will play an important role in supporting a positive and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. You will be expected to demonstrate professionalism, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to the overall ethos of the school.
This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a supportive team, with access to training and development and the chance to contribute to the wellbeing of the school community.
