What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The Headteachers and Governors of St John’s CEVA First School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious class teacher to our school, in the heart of the busy market town of Frome in Somerset. The appointed person will possess: excellent knowledge of the KS1 and lower KS2 curriculum; high-quality teaching skills; good communication and teamwork skills and a commitment to supporting continuous school improvement and their own professional development.
We seek a Class Teacher who:
- Can confidently and consistently provide quality first teaching to their class, working effectively with support staff
- Demonstrates a commitment to raising children’s aspirations and attainment through creative and inspiring learning experiences
- Motivates and connects with our children and families, whilst ensuring progress and ambition are fostered for all learners
- Shares our vision for the children to flourish as respectful, confident and aspirational citizens who seek to positively contribute to the school community, local community and the world beyond
