What will I be doing?
We are seeking to appoint a class teacher to join our small team, teaching a mixed age class of Year One and Year Two children. Following on from the great start children get in our EYFS unit, and preparing children to successfully move into KS2, this is a unique and exciting class to lead.
You will be supported by the Headteacher, senior colleagues, a supportive Governing board, and a strong Trust team, whilst being given creative freedom and autonomy to make a difference in the classroom.
West Buckland Primary School is a small, caring and nurturing school where every child is valued as part of the family. We are a four-class primary school, plus Nursery, located in a village setting near to Wellington. What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking for a teacher who is an excellent practitioner with good knowledge of the curriculum and how pupils learn. The right person needs to be passionate about children’s learning and keen to ensure all children make progress. You will need to be a skillful communicator and a strong team player who is committed to making a difference.
We seek someone who is keen to engage with continuing professional development and develop, has ambition for themselves and the school, and is hardworking and reflective. The successful candidate must be successful at creating and maintaining a positive atmosphere, developing and sustaining good working relationships and working wider than our setting, with our families, the community and the Trust.
