Classroom Teaching and Breakfast Club Assistant – Maternity Cover

IKB are looking for a Maternity Cover Teaching Assistant to start with us in February for a fixed term contract until 31 October 2025.

Job purpose: To provide support for learning activities for children on an individual or group basis, under the general direction of the line manager. To support and complement the work of the classroom teacher by supporting class work, the environment and personal care. To ensure Breakfast Club offers a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for children to start their school day.

Hours of Work: 29.25 hrs per week.
Monday 7.45am – 3.30pm
Tuesday – 7.45am – 1pm
Wednesday – 7.45am – 1pm
Thursday – 7.45am – 3.30pm
Friday – 7.45am – 1pm

Grade: NJC Point 4, £12.65 per hour – starting salary – £16,352.29

Experience: At least one-year experience of working effectively in a school setting (Desirable).
