  • 28.33 hours per week (28 hours, 20 minutes)
  • Monday to Friday 8.50am to 3.30pm with 1-hour unpaid lunch
  • Term Time only (38 weeks) plus 3 inset days, 193 days.
  • Fixed term until 31 August 2026

This includes some annual training days which will be worked at the start of each academic year, dates and times to be confirmed annually.

What will I be doing?

As a Teaching Assistant at Bishop’s Hull, you will work closely with teachers to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children in a range of year groups. Your role will include helping to plan and deliver learning activities, preparing resources, and providing support to individuals and small groups. You’ll also play an important part in supporting pupils pastorally and sharing feedback with teaching staff to help meet every child’s needs.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • At least one-year experience of working effectively in a school KS1 setting.
  • Experience leading after school clubs.
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths
  • Experience supporting learning in a classroom environment
  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A kind, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
