What will I be doing?

Are you passionate about communications, social media, marketing and community engagement?

Do you want to help shape how Street Parish Council connects with our residents to develop our Community Engagement Strategy?

We are looking for a creative, confident and organised Communications and Engagement Officer to lead the Council’s digital and print communications plus deliver our annual events programme.

You will manage the Council’s website and social media channels, produce high quality communications for residents, and help deliver three core and one additional annual community event. This is a varied and rewarding role where every day is different.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in PR, marketing, social media, digital media, and delivering events
  • Strong written and content creation skills
  • Confidence managing social media profiles
  • A community focused and approachable attitude
  • Outstanding organisational skills

Local government experience is welcome but not essential.

Training will be provided.
