  • This role will have a significant impact on the success of the Connect to Work Programme Progression
  • The role is Hybrid but will be required to travel throughout Somerset.
  • The hours can be flexible but must meet the needs of the business.

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Lead the delivery and ongoing development of Somerset’s Connect to Work programme
  • Line manage staff operating on the Connect to Work programme
  • Oversee external delivery partners to ensure contract, quality and fidelity assurance compliance. Monitoring performance through regular review.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Have a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have Qualifications in supported employment or careers guidance (e.g. IPS, SEQF, IAG/CIAG).
  • Have strong leadership and team development capabilities
  • Have excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and partnership-building skills.
  • Have the ability to interpret and analyse performance data and produce evidence-based reports
  • Have financial acumen and IT proficiency, including use of MIS and reporting systems.
  • Are able to think strategically, are able to problem-solve, and have the ability to manage competing priorities.
