Key information

  • This role offers hybrid working, allowing you to work either from home or from one of our offices.
  • You will be entitled to 30 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • You will be part of the Parking Services team, and will be expected to line manage a number of parking services staff.
  • You will be expected to work with large levels of autonomy, whilst also having the support of competent and supportive management team.
  • We provide support and encourage all staff to strive and develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Permanent contract – 37 hours per week

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset – you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing parking services. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Leading the development, consultation and implementation of new parking schemes both on and off street.
  • Ensure all proposed Traffic Regulation Orders are drafted to achieve required objectives and implemented in accordance with the regulations.
  • Managing the consultation and implementation team.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Have extensive experience in developing, preparing and implementing on and off street parking schemes
  • Understand and familiar with Traffic Regulation Order processes and principles.
  • Have a proven track record of presenting to the public and organisation on proposed schemes and policies.
