Key information
Rate of Pay or Salary: £23,976 – £39,544 pro rata per annum (£17,262 – £28,471 per annum), depending on qualifications.
Working Time: 828 hours per annum of teaching and equivalent professional duties over 198 days, for full time posts and pro rata for part time posts. You will be expected to be on site for 34 hours per week pro rata during the whole academic year. The hours will be over 4 days per week.
Contract Type: Permanent
Pension: Teachers Pensions Scheme
Leave entitlement: 38 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part time) including discretionary days at Christmas.
Please note: The published salary and terms and conditions are effective until the 31st of July 2025 when it is proposed that Strode College will merge with Bridgwater & Taunton College from the 1st of August 2025. Appointments from the 1st of August will be subject to a change in terms and conditions and details of this will be confirmed at interview and in any subsequent offer of employment.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
You will have excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm to lead and teach A level Textiles and be passionate about supporting students secure knowledge and practical skills to progress into related employment or higher study. Alongside teaching Textiles, you would be an A level personal tutor.
It is essential that you have previous A level or equivalent teaching experience.
DBS check
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
