What will I be doing?

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Curriculum Team Leader of Business Studies to join our dedicated and forward-thinking team.

Business Studies has proven to be a highly popular GCSE option with our students, and we are proud of the strong outcomes and levels of engagement within the subject.

A robust programme of professional development and support will be available to help you grow into the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious school where your contribution will be highly valued.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The successful candidate will be a passionate educator, committed to delivering excellence in the classroom through innovative, high-quality teaching and learning. You will have the vision and leadership skills to drive continued improvement in Business Studies, raising standards and outcomes across all Key Stage 4

We welcome applications from experienced leaders and outstanding classroom practitioners who are able to inspire students, work collaboratively with colleagues, and are keen to contribute to the wider life of the school.

You should have a proven ability to motivate and engage young people, and a strong desire to further develop your own expertise and leadership.

The ability to teach an additional subject – particularly Maths or Computing – would be highly desirable and will be considered positively as part of the appointment process.

We also warmly welcome applications from Early Career Teachers with a strong academic background and a desire to take on subject leadership responsibilities following the successful completion of their induction period.

Supporting documents and information

So, if you want and enjoy a challenge, are able to make a difference and care passionately about young people, then we will welcome your application.

Please submit your application form together with a letter (no more than two sides of A4) detailing your skills, qualities and relevant experience for this post.
