21 hours per week over 3 days – Term time only

Salary: Somerset Council Grade 15 Point 4, equates to £13.05 per hour (actual salary £11,923 per annum)

Start date – February / March 2026

What will I be doing?

To apply you must hold at least a Level 3 Childcare qualification or be willing to work towards the qualification.

Key skills and duties:

Most importantly, to have energy, enthusiasm, empathy, a sense of adventure and fun!

  • Help with the planning and delivery of creative and fun opportunities according to children’s needs and interests to fulfil the requirements of the EYFS.
  • Develop good strong relationships and communication with children parents/carers.
  • Work creatively with children so they develop, learn and grow.
  • Ensure all children have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Experience of working with children in an early learning environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Be a team player
