  • This is a permanent role within Somerset Lifeline providing an Emergency Response service to our customers across Somerset.
  • The postholder will support the Somerset Lifeline customers by responding to requests for help. Liaising with customers and staff to schedule installation appointments and managing the completion and accurate storage of contracts and other records.
  • 28 days’ annual leave.

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of vulnerable residents here in Somerset and across the country. Our aim is to enable our customers to continue to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Responding to emergency calls providing immediate care, support and assistance to our customers including utilising specialist equipment assisting uninjured fallers to stand, providing emergency first aid and where necessary liaising with Emergency Services to provide more critical care.
  • Signposting customers to information and other partners including local GPs, Care staff, Adults or Childrens Social Care, the NHS and act as a customer advocate.
  • Liaising with the Installation team to respond to faults.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you have:

  • Some experience of working in the Care or Emergency Care industry.
  • Understanding of technology enabled care and related products that can be used to promote independence.
  • A driven and motivated attitude towards delivering the best service possible.
