What will I be doing?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and nurturing Class Teacher to join our well-established Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP), supporting a small group of pupils with additional needs and EHCPs. Our ELP supports KS2 pupils in the morning and KS1 pupils in the afternoon.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a successful and well-established provision, working in partnership with an experienced teacher as part of a job-share arrangement. The role would suit a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to make a meaningful difference to the learning, development and wellbeing of pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the existing class teacher to ensure continuity, consistency and high-quality provision for the pupils.

Why join our ELP?

Our ELP is a welcoming, well-established and highly supported provision. We offer:

  • A small group of pupils, enabling strong relationships and a personalised approach to learning.
  • Pupils with EHCPs and a range of additional needs, providing an opportunity to develop your expertise in inclusive practice.
  • Excellent dedicated space and resources designed to meet the needs of the pupils.
  • A strong team of additional adults, providing excellent support within the provision.
  • An experienced teacher with whom you will work in partnership as part of the job share.
  • A supportive and collaborative school environment where staff are valued and encouraged to develop their practice.
  • The opportunity to be part of a provision that is established, purposeful and committed to achieving the very best outcomes for its pupils.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an enthusiastic and committed teacher who enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Can provide engaging, appropriately differentiated learning experiences.
  • Is reflective, patient, nurturing and adaptable.
  • Values working closely with families and other professionals to support pupils’ individual needs.
  • Is keen to work alongside an experienced teacher and contribute positively to the continued success of the ELP.

Experience and expertise in working with pupils with additional needs would be an advantage. This post is not suitable for ECTs.
