What will I be doing?

We’re working with the commercial investment property portfolio held by Somerset and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Undertaking asset management including rent reviews, lease renewals and new lettings.
  • Maintaining and analysing the council’s property data for use in reports and negotiations.
  • Liaising with the Council’s external contractors to assist in property management and occasional development projects.
  • Preparing assets for disposal.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • Are MRICS qualified, or working towards it.
  • Have the motivation and self-discipline to be an important part of a small and highly motivated team.
  • Are personable, in particularly possessing the ability to talk to people and work out how to give them what they want whilst getting what we need.
  • Can bring new skills to the team, particularly of interest are AI and IT skills.
