An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Caretaker to join our Estates team.
- Rate of Pay or Salary: £23,086 pro rata per annum, actual salary will be £15,910 per annum.
- Working Time: 25.5 hours per week Monday to Friday all year round
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme
- Leave entitlement: 29 days per year plus bank holidays and discretionary days at Christmas
- Term time working pattern:
- Monday – 2.30pm to 7.30pm
- Tuesday – 2.30pm to 9.30pm
- Wednesday – 2.30pm to 9.30pm
- Thursday – 2.30pm to 7.30pm
- Friday – 2.30pm to 7.30pm
Please note, during holiday periods the working hours will be adjusted across the week to accommodate a 7.00pm finish time.

What will I be doing?
To provide efficient and effective support to the Estates Team to enable the department to support the College to create an engaging and functioning environment. To work as part of the Estates team to complete general maintenance to all areas of the College as required and security duties at the end of each day, including setting alarms and securing all buildings.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
You will have excellent communication skills and be confident to work on your own initiative and take responsibility for securing our campus including setting alarms and locking up. You will have high levels of vigilance and be thorough in your approach to security. You will also have experience of basic DIY and an understanding of maintenance procedures. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills for addressing safety and maintenance concerns.
