Are you passionate about shaping the early experiences that set children up for a lifetime of learning? Do you have experience working in a Reception class? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

What will I be doing?

Our small, rural, friendly school is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the Reception class teacher to create a nurturing, stimulating environment where every child feels valued and inspired to learn. You will develop early communication skills, social development, and independence through creative, play-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and joy. This setting is proud of its welcoming, inclusive ethos and strong team culture, offering a wonderful place for both children and staff to grow.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We would like you to:

  • Have experience working as a teaching assistant within the Early Years.
  • Be passionate about inclusion and meeting children’s individual needs.
  • Be positive, proactive, and always solution focused.
  • Have high expectations of yourself, keeping all children at the heart of your practice.
  • Be a team player with a good sense of humour.
  • Be willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for our pupils.

If you’re committed to giving young learners the best start and have experience in an Early Years environment, we’d love to hear from you.

If you hold a Level 2 or 3 Childcare or Early Years qualification, apply now!

What is in it for me?

In return we can offer:

  • The opportunity to be part of a friendly, hardworking, and dedicated team.
  • Lively and enthusiastic children who thrive with a supportive environment.
  • A wonderful school environment with extensive grounds (swimming pool, summer months only) to enhance learning.
  • Encouragement to develop new ideas and the opportunity to make a real difference. A commitment to you and your professional development.
