A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a reliable and conscientious individual to join our dedicated Finance Team as Fees Clerk.

What will I be doing?

Under the guidance of the Finance Manager and situated within the QET team office in Bridgwater, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of fee billing, collection, and related financial record-keeping within the Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with parents, guardians, and staff to manage Boarding fees, handle enquiries and ensure timely payments.

What you will be doing:

  • Fee billing: preparing and issuing fee invoices to parents/guardians ensuring all fee charges are processed accurately and on time
  • Fee Collection and payments processing: processing and reconciling of payments received via various methods
  • Debt Collection: Monitoring and tracking outstanding fees in line with school policies
  • Financial Record keeping: maintain accurate records and preparing financial reports
  • Customer Service: Act as point of contact for parents/guardians for fee-related queries
  • Reporting and Compliance: Preparation of reports and ensuring compliance for fees and payments in line with Trust Policy.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

  • Good IT skills
  • Previous experience in a finance or admin role, ideally within an educational or similar environment
  • Experience handling financial transactions & Customer Service
  • Friendly, Trustworthy and reliable
  • Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work undertaken
  • Ideal candidates will have AAT or equivalent financial qualification
