A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a reliable and conscientious individual to join our dedicated Finance Team as Finance Assistant.

Supporting the Finance Manager and situated within the QET team office in Bridgwater, you will assist in the routine day to day operation and transactions relating to the finances of the Quantock Education Trust and the schools across the Trust.

What will I be doing?

This busy role will include Invoice processing, BACS Runs processing, VAT returns, Bank reconciliation, maintenance and setting up of Supplier records amongst other general finance support.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The successful candidate will have good IT skills with a working knowledge of Excel and will have had previous experience of working in a financial capacity. You will possess good communications skills, alongside a flexible approach and be willing to carry out a wide variety of tasks with the ability to cope with the change needs of a Trust.

Experience in the education sector and possession of, or working towards, AAT or equivalent certification would be an advantage, but not essential. Support to complete AAT certification would be considered for the right candidate.
