Are you an inspiring, forward-thinking school leader who believes in the power of nurturing relationships and high expectations ? The governors of Oake, Bradford & Nynehead C of E (VC) Primary School are seeking to appoint a new Headteacher to commence in post at the start of the Autumn Term 26.
Our school is located in the village of Oake which lies 5 miles west of Taunton and 10 minutes drive from Junction 26 of the M5. Our modern and well-resourced school building comprises 4 classrooms, our pre-school Little Acorns and an ELSA building. The original Victorian school building is also still in use.
About the Role
We recognise that exceptional leaders bring their best when they can balance professional and personal commitments. With this in mind, we are offering two flexible options for the right candidate:
- Option 1: Full-Time Teaching Headteacher
- Three days a week in class
- Two days dedicated to strategic leadership
- Ideal for leaders who remain passionate about classroom practice and want to stay closely connected to teaching and learning
- Option 2: Part-Time Headteacher (3 days per week)
- A strategic, leadership-focused role – 2 days per week
- One day a week in class
- Perfect for experienced leaders seeking flexibility or looking to balance headship with other commitments
