Desirable qualities and experience include:
- National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)
- Leadership experience in more than one school setting
- SENCo qualification (or willingness to obtain it)
- Recent teaching experience
- The ability to balance operational priorities while maintaining high aspirations for pupils and staff
