  • Be an active and engaged member of the Somerset education community, sharing good practice and seeking new opportunities for the school
  • Champion inclusion, equity and wellbeing for pupils and staff alike

Desirable qualities and experience include:

  • National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH)
  • Leadership experience in more than one school setting
  • SENCo qualification (or willingness to obtain it)
  • Recent teaching experience
  • The ability to balance operational priorities while maintaining high aspirations for pupils and staff
