  • Flexible working available, mainly working from delivery locations, with some occasional working from home and or one of the office bases in Somerset.
  • 28 days annual leave (pro rata).
  • This is a Maternity cover position until post holder returns or until 31st March 2026 whichever is sooner.
  • Up to 22.2 hours per week.

What will I be doing?

We’re working to improve the lives of people in Somerset through promotion of the importance of living healthier lifestyles – and you’ll be a key part of that. Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Motivating individuals to make and maintain positive health lifestyles.
  • Support the co-development, delivery and evaluation of a range of services, focussing on the Somerset Community Blood Pressure programme and related follow-up interventions.
  • Participate in the training and support of staff delivering community blood pressure checks in Somerset.
  • Partner with a range of organisations and community venues to arrange blood pressure testing to strengthen, sustain and scale services including supporting existing services with delivery troubleshooting.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. But it will really help if you:

  • Have experience of delivering healthier lifestyle promotion including blood pressure checks.
  • Have experience of training e.g. train the trainer or similar in relation to healthy lifestyle promotion.
  • Have experience and knowledge of improving health and wellbeing and reducing health inequalities.
  • Have the aptitude and confidence for working with a rapidly changing environment including problem solving and an ability to work autonomously.
  • Are able to start immediately and able to travel across Somerset in a timely manner to delivery partner sites.
