What will I be doing?
We are looking to appoint a HLTA. This role will also include lunchtime supervisor duties. As a HLTA, you will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for delegated learning activities. This involves:
- contribution to the planning and preparing of lessons
- delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes without the presence of the teacher
- monitoring pupils by assessing, recording and reporting their achievements, progress and development
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The successful candidate will:
- be able to share experience of previous good classroom practice
- be able to support the class teacher/year group across the whole curriculum
- have experience of working with their own groups
- be able to show evidence of relevant training such as a HLTA qualification
- ideally have experience of working with children with SEN needs
- display a range of attributes including personal organisation, initiative, enthusiasm and a caring nature
- be flexible, adaptable, and be able to provide support and challenge
