Start date: Monday 15 June or soon after.
Hours: 33.33 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 8.20am – 3.30pm
Term time plus 2 weeks
Salary: Grade 12, £22,621 – £25,707pa. (£14.82 – £16.62p/h)

We are seeking a caring, approachable and proactive Home School Liaison Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team within our Nursery and Infant School.

This is a rewarding role at the heart of our school community, supporting children and families to overcome barriers to learning, improve attendance, wellbeing and engagement, strengthen positive relationships between home and school, and contribute to the school’s safeguarding culture.

What will I be doing?

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Support families with attendance, punctuality, emotional wellbeing and behaviour.
• Work closely with school staff and external agencies to provide early help and targeted support.
• Carry out home visits where appropriate.
• Help families access services and community support.
• Work alongside the Designated Safeguarding Leads to support safeguarding procedures and family support plans.
• Maintain accurate safeguarding and pastoral records in line with school procedures.
• Promote positive communication and parental engagement.
• Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

• Has experience working with children and families.
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures.
• Is empathetic, calm and non-judgemental.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is organised, resilient and able to manage sensitive situations professionally.
• Is passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable families.
• Has the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of people.
