Dovecote School is an Ofsted-registered independent special school for pupils aged 5–18 with autism and associated needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We are seeking a Humanities Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils’ wellbeing, relationships, and personal development.
What will I be doing?
You will deliver inclusive, trauma-informed Humanities lessons in a safe and supportive environment, adapting content to meet individual needs and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency and safeguarding.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
- Is a qualified teacher (or has significant tutoring/teaching experience)
- Has a calm, reflective, and inclusive approach
- Can deliver sensitive topics with confidence and care
- Is committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- SEN/SEMH experience is welcome but not essential
