About the job
What will I be doing?
We are looking for a compassionate and approachable volunteer Independent Listener to join our boarding community and provide
a trusted, independent point of contact for our students.
The Independent Listener is someone outside the school community who boarding students can approach directly if they have a
problem, concern or simply need someone to talk to. This is a rewarding voluntary opportunity to make a genuine difference to the
wellbeing and experience of young people by offering a safe and supportive space.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are seeking someone with an excellent understanding of safeguarding, empathy for the needs of school-age children and
adolescents, and experience in a counselling, pastoral or similar supportive role.
