North Newton Primary School can be found in the village of North Newton, close to J24 of the M5 in Somerset. We currently have 95 children on roll across 4 classes.
Our children are kind and respectful towards others and enjoy coming to school. We have strong links with parents, governors and the wider community, recognising the value that this brings to our children. We offer a warm, nurturing setting in which children feel happy, confident and safe.
What will I be doing?
Are you passionate about working with young children and helping them thrive. We are seeking an experienced Year 1-2 Teacher to work in our lovely school. This is a great opportunity for someone with a love for education and a desire to make a difference in children’s lives.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Key Stage 1 Teacher for our Year 1-2 Class from January 2026, to join our Early Years/KS1 team, who is passionate about engaging learners, and supporting them to achieve their best.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking for an experienced Teacher:
- Who is extremely motivated, enthusiastic and creative in their approach to teaching and learning
- Who is committed to delivering the highest quality teaching and learning and ensuring the best possible outcomes for every child
- Who has high expectations of themselves and the children they work with
- Who can work effectively within our hard-working, talented and friendly, small school team
- Who is reflective and committed to developing their own practice
- Who has a passion/interest in a particular curriculum area
- Who has some experience of working in a mixed age setting
