What will I be doing?
Our team are looking for a new teacher to join us as we take our next steps in the exciting journey of our school. With a brand new, carbon-neutral school planned for completion in January 2027, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team of aspirational teachers, committed to our children and their community.
We are a three-form entry junior school and, as part of the Yeovil Area Community Academy Trust, are dedicated to improving outcomes for children from across our locality
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The successful candidate will want the very best for our children and enjoy working as a member of our team, building on existing good practice and bringing new ideas that inspire and engage our children to achieve their potential and improve outcomes.
What is in it for me?
When OFSTED visited us in January 2024, we were proud that they recognised:
Pupils are proud of their school. They are cared for well and enjoy being part of a warm, welcoming community. Staff provide strong pastoral care and relationships are positive. Pupils know there is always someone to help them if they are worried.
Pupils value the diversity of their school community. They enjoy sharing experiences about their own culture. Pupils see difference as something to celebrate. Pupils understand about important topics such as tolerance and democracy.
As a school and trust we can offer:
- enthusiastic, hardworking children with good attitudes to school and each other;
- opportunities to work as a member of different teams within school for example in year group teams of three or more teachers; and face-to-face with colleagues from across the trust.
- opportunities for personal and professional growth within a coaching environment
- Teachers’ Pension Scheme, Benenden Health Cash Plan and EdenRed Benefit Scheme.
