What will I be doing?

The Additional Learning Support area is responsible for providing additional learning support across the College to full and part-time learners and supports approximately 1000 students on courses of all levels. Our aim at UCS College Group is for all students with additional support needs to have equal access to the curriculum and work towards meeting their full potential with our support. These may have a range of learning difficulties/disabilities which include specific learning difficulties, autistic spectrum, ADHD/ADD Visual Impairment, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Social, Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, and mental Health Issues.

This role is linked to the programmes within our Foundation Learning department. These programmes are tailored to support learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), those facing barriers to learning, and individuals with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. The department’s success is rooted in its holistic support model, strong cross-college collaboration, and a culture that celebrates progress, independence, and achievement for every learner.
