What will I be doing?

We are seeking an empathetic and pro-active Learning Support Assistant to work within our Wellbeing provision. At Haygrove School, we believe all children should receive an educational offer which is aspirational and inspirational, and under the guidance of the SENDCo and SEMHCo, you will support students who need extra help to engage confidently in school life, build resilience, and reach their personal and academic goals. You will play a key part in promoting our core Trust values of Community, Aspiration, Respect and Equity, ensuring every student feels included, supported, and empowered to succeed.

The Postholder will work with SEND team colleagues and teaching staff to deliver personalised support programmes for students with Special or Additional Educational Needs, disabilities and/or learning difficulties, encouraging responsibility, and fair access for all. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support within the Wellbeing provision, helping students manage social or emotional challenges and develop positive coping strategies. You will help create a calm, safe environment where students feel valued and are encouraged to develop resilience, self-belief and positive behaviour, raising their aspirations through consistent guidance and encouragement.

A passion for helping our young people and the ability to build connections and relationships are key in this role, as well as a good sense of humour!
