• Job Title: Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
• Location: Comeytrowe Under Fives Preschool, Taunton
• Salary: £13.53 per hour
• Job Type: 1 x full-time and 1 x part time positions available.
• Hours: 8am-5pm (negotiable), Monday to Friday, Term-Time only.
• Start Date: 5th January 2026

What will I be doing?

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children and a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Please also refer to the full job description attached.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and education for children in line with EYFS guidelines
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning and development
• Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records
• Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other staff members
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
• Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Previous experience working in a childcare setting
• Sound knowledge of EYFS and child development
• Excellent communication and teamworking skills
• A positive, caring, and patient attitude
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

Desirable:

• Paediatric First Aid certification
• Safeguarding training
• Experience working with SEN children
