Key information

Level 4 Network Engineer Apprentices required at Polden Bower and Avalon School Federation. Fixed term contracts with a start date of September 2025.

37 hours per week all year round. Salary £14,566 (meets national minimum wage for apprentices)

Polden Bower, is a 160 place special school and has the specialist resources needed to meet the needs of our students. state-of-the-art facilities for all the children and young people, this includes a warm water pool for physiotherapy; a sports hall; a sensory room; and fully accessible classrooms with the latest teaching technology. This is a very exciting time to be joining a growing Federation. We are working in partnership with The Bridge School which is the PRU within Bridgwater.

What will I be doing?

You will be providing IT support for Staff and Students across 6 sites in Bridgwater and Street. This could be ranging from delivery hardware to classes. On a day to day you will be assisting on our helpdesk with IT requests for staff. Also helping with maintenance and upgrades.

The Apprenticeship is a flexible, blended learning programme designed to upskill IT professionals in designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting communication networks. The programme combines advanced training, expert mentorship, and the latest tools to prepare learners for success in a high-demand field

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

Apprenticeship Summary : Level 4 Expected Duration-18 Months

Desired qualifications for the course are;

  • Level 2 Functional Skills (or equivalent) – Maths
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (or equivalent) – English
  • Level 2 ICT
  • Level 3 ICT

Delivery will take place online with Primary Goal Ltd
